I am easy, add Rye to a Saison and I am spreading my legs.

I've been really enjoying drinking low abv saisons/grisettes lately, especially as it gets warmer and we're grilling/hanging out on the deck most weekends. Clara & Verdance are my favorites (and if anyone has any bottles of either to trade, hit me up cuz I'm down to one each!), but I'd love other recommendations in this vein. Prairie sells bottles of Le Petit Prince here as well, which is another one I really like (I buy at least one every time I'm out there), but variety is the spice of life and all that... So recommendations please!

Fonta Flora has some nice grisette(s?), Lady in Grey has been 3pp for a while, and Oxbow has a regular grisette, Loretta, and Grizacca which is an Azteca dry hopped grisette as well as others in the same vein? Oxbow is great for some summer low abv crushers, and if you find a nice Maine trader some fresh Lunch or Bissel/Foundation hops could be a bonus...

Thieriez Extra, Dupont Avril, and JP Bam.

Grizacca is really nice. Bright lemon and just really approachable.

Oddwood Ales Saison

A: Beer pours a hazy golden yellow with a nice cap of head that holds. Looks refreshing.

S: Lemon skins mixed with farmhouse funk. Oak notes on the finish. This beer smells awesome and right in my wheelhouse. Touch of stonefruit/tropical notes as it opens up. Fantastic brett nose. Like top tier level ****.

T: Taste opens with a touch of lemon zest pucker and finishes with a creamy oak note that mingles with the funk from the brett. Hop bite is present but completely compliments whats going on. This beer is about the oak and brett. I can dig it.

M: Perfect carbonation spritzy and refreshing at the start and then a bone dry finish. Awesome oak and mineral finish. Perfect.

O: Second time having this beer and this one is about a year old 4/24/15 and it is drinking great. I hope people aren't sleeping on this beer.... Actually I hope they are as I am now ISO multiples. This is exactly what I'm looking for in my farmhouse beers.

Reminds me a good deal of E9 and Holy Mountain offerings. Hyper crusher.

Agreed. "Petite saisons" are perfect for the warm weather.

Kent Falls is doing some really nice low ABV "table beers" that def. can be grouped into the grisette style. Table 2 in particular comes to mind. It's a 4% brett beer aged in oak. If you're interested, I can def. see what's around right now/what I have in the cellar (I also have some Clara).

I've been loving the Kent bottles quirk6 has been sending my way. The last was Dekkera, which may have been my favorite so far.

I love all the Kent Falls stuff I've had (Dekkara is the perfect example of what I'm talking about.. I would drink gallons of that stuff this summer if it was available on shelves/in growlers here. 2016 was awesome, too. Table 2 sounds excellent) so I am always down for more. They just hit that sweet spot of tartness & funk but with obvious saison characteristics too... can't get enough (the fact they're in 500ml bottles is a bonus).

What's that?!?!
Brett IPA with Pineapple. It's supposed to get here around 3:30, after I leave town for the weekend. If it sells as quickly as Mango Juicemaker I will never see it.

Edit: Interestingly, I think Kent Falls only uses local ingredients, so those would be local pineapples?

I went to an ultimate tournament in Fredericksburg, VA 3 weeks ago and one of the teams we played had Kent Falls sponsor their jerseys. It was pretty sweet. They said someone on the team either worked there or knew someone.
The guy I share a room with at work was at that tournament. weird.

Sadly, Dekkara is long gone. Field beer, Common Table Beer and Equinox on the shelves now. Pineapple Juickmaker set to hit the shelves today.

No more of the hibiscus one from last month I guess?

How much do Kent Falls 750s typically cost? And is distro CT only?
