Pancake: So much in such a small word. Theres a certain mysticism in the simple pancake. Simple because its easy to make and deliscous, and the number of sauces that can be added are infinite. With chocolate, maple, strawberry jam or even alone, a thick pancake simply has no competition.
There is a legend that states that if you can make a proper pancake, you will never be burned by the fire of love. If you attempt this recipe, odds are youll succeed.
Just dont forget two things:
1 Dont be afraid of thickness
2 The first one usually comes out a bit ugly, so dont give up!
Ingredients:
1 cup flour
2 tablespoons oil
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
Mix together the wet ingredients (oil, egg, milk, and vanilla extract) in a bowl.
In a separate bowl, mix together all of the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder).
Pour the contents of the wet bowl into the dry.
Stir until the mixture is smooth, thick and without lumps.
Heat a pan with a small amount of oil over a medium flame.
Allow the oil to heat up. When its hot, pour the batter into the pan using a ladle.
After bubbles appear, the pancakes can be flipped. After another minute, the pancakes are ready.
