Finally caved in and purchased, an original carboy cleaner brand, sanke keg cleaner. I found a local brewery that sells their keg "seconds" for pretty cheap, but I initially had reservations about using sanke kegs for fermenting and kegging. Last night I used the keg cleaner for the first time and wow. After a couple minutes of drilling, using only one gallon of water/PBW, I turned a gross keg that had sat for an extended time into a shiny new fermentation vessel!! A quick flashlight and dental mirror showed me exactly what I had hoped this product would accomplish! This is the first product review that I have ever done and was so impressed I needed to share this! Such a "duh" product after years of scrubbing carboys! And no, I have no affiliation with this company.
