Will probably head up for this. I've always enjoyed their beer and looking forward to their "tart saison"

Got to try their tart saison pre dry hopping from the fermenter a few weeks back, pretty damn tasty. I'll most likely be there as well, and there's about 99% chance this will turn into a bottle share. A DD and a couple nce bottles are recommended ;)

Fuckkkk, i want to go up to Hoof Hearted to check out their taproom. Alas, i am going to watch the Indians that day in Cincinnati.

Anyone go to the Hoof Hearted release yesterday? Wondering how it went and if we're going to see any cans of musk here in Columbus.

I did. I thought I heard the cans sold out but they might have had some set aside for distro.

Crossing swords, the tart saison was awesome

Also it was hot as **** in their brewery/garage. Mentioned to a buddy that it would be pretty nice to sit in there on a nice night out. Also parking is tight for events like this. It was more crowded than I thought it would be.

Well good to hear they had a big turn out. I was hoping to grab a 4pk or two but that brew pub will be here before we know in Columbus.

Thanks for the update

Didn't get to attend....but based on Insta updates, it looks as if Musk cans sold out and will be canned again on 8/23. Roller Blabe will be canned on 8/16.
Roller blabe in cans? First I've heard of that.

One of the guys said that over the weekend and I got pretty pumped. I remember it being so damn good when I had at TDG last year.

It was a good time for sure. Apparently they've got a hundred or so bottles of the Crossing Swords with brett stashed away for a release TBD.

So i met one of the owners of House Beer in the Short North there yesterday. He said he wants to start hosting bottle shares after hours. I know someone in this group was organizing something, so that might be a good option.

Would be really cool except for transportation

Edit. I'm an idiot, I thought you said Hoof Hearted for the share.

House Beer is very close to me, so something like that would be really convenient for me. if you're in the loop about that, keep the thread posted!

Tried a bunch of hoof hearted stuff recently from some cans shared to taps at the daily growler. All gas been awesome. Excited to see what these guys do.

I thoroughly enjoyed the PB&J at Brothers Drake Saturday, but I liked Lemon Drop a little more. Based on Untappd checkins I appear to be in the minority.

Bottles of PB&J were still being sold when I returned later in the evening. The 100 bottle run of Cuvee One had sold out.

Lemon Drop was my least favorite but I did like the spritz-like mouthfeel. I'm not a PB&J fan (gasp) but that said it did taste just like the sandwich. The Hibiscus was probably the biggest surprise for me, really enjoyed that one. Cuvee was really good but I did not get much bourbon flavor.

They really should plan the line better. The line started wrapping around the building/sidewalk and instead of spreading out at the bar once they were inside, they stayed in that line. It caused it to move verrrry slow. Me and my friends were parked at the bench just inside, it made it nice because we did not have to wait long at all to grab another drink but I felt bad for all the people waiting outside when it could of gone a lot quicker.

I dug the PB&J for sure. Loved how you got a lot of berry up front and killer peanut taste on the back. Mmmm. Did not think much of Cuvee 1, personally.

Wth is this roller blabe beer? As an avid fruit booter I need this, even an empty...

Looks like I'll be in Columbus for a week later this month for work, anybody have tips on places to check out?

I'm a little less familiar with that side of town but...
Beer kitchen 101 in gahanna for food and beer
And crafted drafts for a store in that area.

If you go a few miles more into downtown then I'd recommend Seventh Son Brewery, Brothers Drake Meadery, The Crest in Old town east, yellow brick pizza, cornerstone beer and wine for a store, weilands. There are a couple of pies and pints in town as well that usually have really good tap lists.

Should at least give you a start. Pm if you want more details or questions

^ Thanks for the info. I shouldn't be at the office too late most of the week, so I'm not opposed to venturing beyond places right by where I'm staying.

Best options within the Easton complex: Pies & Pints, Melt Bar & Grilled, Flip Side, World of Beer. And Whole Foods just opened up shop this week with a bar and growler station.

Morse & Hamilton area is a short drive away for 101 Beer Kitchen, B-Spot, and Crafted Drafts.

Anybody going to the North Market beerfest Friday? I'll be pouring for Hoof Hearted, debuting their new dry hopped gose and will have some good hops too (SoE, Musk). Come say hey and i'll hook it up!

Also planning on hitting the Wolf Ridge release, excited to try that Choco Joy Dire Wolf.
