Yep, I'll be making my usual Wednesday stop in today to check out #10. I'll be interested to see what it's like since I sometimes think that Nelson can be overpowering in milder beers.

I tried a pre batch. Nelson wasn't evident. Somereason the blend w the belgian yeast made it taste very pear'y. If that changed I'd love to know. Didn't make it today.
Yes I loved it too
Is that a good thing? I was never a huge Nelson fan...too much of a white wine flavor

Some guy that thinks he knows EVERYTHING about craft beer just came into the liquor store I work a few nights at. Told me hes going down to NEBCO tomorrow because he called and asked if they had fuzzy baby ducks on tap for growlers and they said "yeah bring a growler and come fill it up", then he asked if they had 6 packs of gandhi bot and they told him "yep well sell em to you right out of the brewery." I laughed at him and told him that theyre ******* with him and he started yelling at me saying I didnt know ****. F that guy, im glad hes driving an hour there to have them laugh at him when he asks for those two things.

I always kind of laugh at those who have silly expectations from the brewery, but I kind of hope that this guy was talking out of his ass entirely or did something to precipitate being misled if they did so. Otherwise, that seems a little mean spirited. I'll always defend NEBCO when it comes to some of the dumber things said by people on their Facebook and the reactions to some of their sarcasm, but outright telling someone something that's not true is a bit different.

I told the guy they say that stuff to people all the time on the phone and to not take them serious...he wouldnt have any of that and said that they wouldnt do that and that I was the idiot. As much as I wanted to feel bad, this is the type of guy who walks and talks like his **** dont stink. Hey, I tried but he wouldnt listen. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well this is awkward, I would have introduced myself.

Sorry for yelling at you.

I call BS - we all know NEBCO doesn't answer their phone

On twitter they noted that not only is Locust coming back soon but also Fat-ten-er #2. At first I assumed that was a typo, but since the next Fat-ten-er would be #11 it seems unlikely that it's a mistake.

#2 had Citra right?

That means ducks is right around the corner. Everybody panic.

Oh, damn. Need to get that (FT #2) this time, I missed it last time.

Also, I went to NEBCO on Saturday - first time I've ever been shut out of beer there (although I guess it was personal choice). Showed up at 2 and the growler line had to be over an hour long (and I had to be somewhere at 3...) Is that normal now on Saturdays? Man...

I haven't been there on many Saturdays recently, but a few weeks back (Black Hog opening day) the line was out the door around 3ish. I didn't get out of there until after 4. But I think they had both Coriolis and Gandhi on.

Weeknights between 6:30-7 seem to be pretty low key, but can still take a little time to get through if it's only Craig there (when he has to do fills, change kegs, give samples, work the register solo).

Yeah, this was two people running stuff, and the only thing that looked "exciting" to me was Gandhi. I bailed after standing in line for like 3 min. Maybe I need to come back down this weekend, I haven't had draft NEBCO in like a couple months now :(

I was there om Saturday a few minutes after they "closed", and line was like 5 people.

Hit OEC and Black Hog prior. OEC was pretty empty (at 2PM), but Black Hog was kinda packed (3:15ish)

Yea I've noticed Saturday's have been packed if there is a new release or gandhi on....waited nearly 2 hours for the most recent coriolis release.

With that said zbot dropped today...one of the very few Nebco beers I've yet to try.

Saw this the other day, but just posting it now... James got himself a GABF medal at his new brewery.

Also looks like he brewed the pumpkin beer that NEBCO won't according to Blue Corn's facebook page.;)
