Zero chance. Maybe worse. Metro Detroit gets the least amount of BCBS of any larger metro area. Even the larger stores only get enough for one bottle limits and variants are non-existent. Usually those stores don’t even do a Black Friday release.

also bcbs in Detroit area can be up to 29.99$ a bottle....ive seen it.

Oh boy I didn't think it could get worse than Pittsburgh but looks like I was wrong. Funny thing is I have friends in Erie who manage to get multiple cases every year.

Hey locals, I'm going to be spending my whole Thanksgiving break in Troy, MI for my son's hockey tournament. Few questions:

We need to stay on Thanksgiving, is there any chance any cool restaurants are open Thursday night?

Any chance of scoring a few bottles of bcbs on Friday without much effort?

Have schramms and jolly pumpkin on my list to visit. Anywhere else (brewery, bottle shop, restaurant) you'd recommend? Bonus points if located near our hotel in Troy.
I am trying to thino what would be open other than Rams Horn or Denny’s. Always just went to Rams Horn or Denny’s when I got tired of my family.

Never heard of Rams horn but it's gotta be better than Denny's by default

I know some folks on TB aren't the biggest fans of Clubhouse BFD.... but I've never had any problems or concerns there and their taplist is going to be the best you'll find in the Troy area. Food is decent. Family friendly.
Not technically Troy, but 3-4 miles away.

oh that's great. i thought we'd be stuck eating at the gas station or chinese food. thanks!

thanks, that looks like its 15 minutes from our hotel. i'll call them and see if they can accommodate a party of 40-50 once we get our schedule. i need to be proactive about this stuff or the whole team ends up going to chili's or some ******** like that.

Oh ****.... 40-50? Thoughts and prayers.

When we have the out of town team stuff with kids we avoid that stuff like the plague. I know its different with hockey. But finding accommodations like that is so tough. Cooks hate it, service is difficult, food is slow, etc.
At the very least head there for drinks with a couple dads you can stand and leave the rest back at the hotel to tear it up. ;)

hah, we've had good fortune at brewpubs so i might give it a shot. the kids are usually so tired by dinner time anyway that they aren't running around like maniacs. our hotel is right by granite city brewpub so i'm sure we'll check that place out too.

As far as bottle shops up in Troy...not so much. I think one of those Wagon shops is there, but they're fairly sleazy as far as marking stuff up, especially limited stuff. If you're just looking to get some Two Hearted or something, they're probably ok.

And yeah, I wouldn't bother looking for BCBS. BFD may potentially be doing some special taps on Black Friday, so check that out. Personally, I think those guys are slimeballs, but it's the best you'll do up in that area if you want good taps.

gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. i have a friend from ohio coming in town this wknd with another guy (which messes things up bc we need three tickets) and i can't find any tickets for under $100. bananas.
Pistons instead? Those tickets are dirt cheap.

Or take the $100 and go sit at a decent bar and watch Spartans/Buckeyes.

i wish. he and i are both jackets fans so that's why we picked this weekend. saw the same game last year for $45.
Empty seats at LCA for basketball and hockey.

Meanwhile we are taking about bringing MLS to the city for some reason.
this is the part that's nuts to me. there's no one ******* there!

The Wagon shop on Crooks (hah!) is actually not that bad right now. Huge selection and I’ve found that limited releases sit there for awhile. Found some 3F Kriek and A&G there a week or so after Holliday sold out. And it was the same price.

I just stopped in for a sixer of Founders Porter on the way home from a dep. I usually avoid those stores like the plague so I was pleasantly surprised.

And **** Jason at BFD. My wife loves a sandwich they have so I tolerate a few times a year but seeing him makes my skin crawl. He’s just a slimeball. And that coming from an attorney l!

I miss you lol

Is this where I post my ISO: CBS?

I really want to avoid public shaming by a highly visible ISO thread.
Wondering if any of the local homies got a line and want to save me a bottle.
Can supplement with beer, obviously.

Smoked NEIPA on handpull

Lol, wtf, why?
