I'll be in Traverse City July 11-20th. If you're up in the area, drop me a line, first pint is on me.

Also, my parents live ~4 miles from Hop Lot. That place is so awesome.

FFS.... so someone apparently called Warren and they said bottles would be at Clinton Twp taproom. He called there and they are keeping the bottle release under wraps but it could be along the lines of a vintage barleywine.

So they're releasing the rest of the TRIPA allotment from the Winter Solstice?

TO ALL K-FANS:

We had been planning to release two bottled beers for Summer Solstice - the plan was in place for months.
Due to a multitude of factors, the biggest being our ancient (like built before the pyramids - ancient) bottle filler taking a total s--t, and the replacement parts still being several weeks out, we are not releasing "new" bottles for this event.
HOWEVER, we have decided to raid the cellar. This means we are LITERALLY sacrificing nearly all of our cellared bottled beers for sale to you guys. we are depleting nearly everything we have that we deem saleable (meaning I am not putting out age-tested session IPAs, etc), because we felt it our obligation to offer something.
THE BOTTLED BEERS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT OUR CLINTON TWP LOCATION ON SATURDAY AM AT 11am WHEN WE OPEN.
There are not a ton, but there are some gems. There will be 4-5 different varieties, so we are limited to one (1) bottle each of each variety, in order to spread the love as much as possible. The cases are being loaded to head to Kuhnhenn Brewing Clinton Twp right now, so I apologize but I do not have an exact bottle count.
While we've always said that these are parties first, and bottle releases second, we also recognize that the climate has shifted, and our events have become focused around our bottled beer releases, at least among the enthusiast crowd.
Two of the beers on tap for the event were supposed to be bottled product, but are still being released on draft at both locations.
Tenacious Cassis hasn't been released since (I believe) 2007 (essentially 4D, boiled longer, and blended with black and red currants - approx 16% and f---ing delicious), and Nine(9) Belgian Dark Strong is normally a bottle conditioned sucker-punch of a brew. Both are tasting amazing, and we sincerely hope you enjoy the draft versions.

Please join us for the event. And thank you for your understanding and continued support, as you are the reason we are here today. Cheers.

While the prospect of some older **** sounds promising it will undoubtedly have issues as it will be the first release at the new location. No thanks.
But if Tenacious Cassis was one.... **** that would be tempting.

This must have been a last minute decision, because I was talking to a Kuhnhenn employee last night and she was told that there would be no bottle sales this year.

Being that it's thr first place of a few we plan to hit for the day, we'll probably swing by briefly and leave if **** show.

Let's meet up

Gonna be heading up in a couple hours. For those that have ventured out today, is there a difference in taps between the two locations? Not much info out there.

Looks like Kuhnehnn just released a Cherry bochet mead aged in Manhattan Project barrels. $40 and about 200
Bottles

Eisbock, BB4D and Tenacious Cassis were all pouring at Warren. Mango Fluffer was terrific. Prices for the big beers were a little high, even for Kuhnhenn, but they put on a nice event.
