True, but lots of players and clubs "make things clear". He is going to make 1.8 mil euros in his last year at Dortmund. What if someone offered him 8 mil euros? Would it still be "clear"?
And on the other hand, Dortmund, who for all intensive purposes could probably use the cash, refused to sell him to their rivals. What if they were offered 40mil from a team outside their league?
Lewandowski has to be careful here. I'm sure Bayern has made him all sorts of grandiose promises, like massive wages since they didn't have to pay a transfer fee, plus a starting role, etc etc. But there is no contract in place to guarantee these promises. The fact of the matter is that some young striker is probably going to burst on the scene this year and catch pep guardiola's eye. Will Lewandowski still be the promised starter, much less offered a lucrative contract at that point? He also needs to consider what happened to Fernando Llorente. His last year at bilbao was spent on the bench, and now, what was once going to be Juventus's prized signing, is now considered 2nd or 3rd striker due to business that took place while he was waiting out a bitter last year of his contract.
