What's the over/under on the first d-bag cracking some stoopid global warming joke today? I'd say noon, but that's only because I've been desperately trying to avoid all non-essential humanoid contact today.

Anyone who cracks a global warming joke by saying "duhhhh i thought it was supposed to be getting warmer out?" should be hit in the head with a 2x4 for being a moron.

No idea why but that is such a pet peev of mine. I'm always thinking, "congrats for perfectly illustrating that you have absolutely no clue what you're talking about".

That said... I guess it isn't 100% their fault as the phrase "global warming" is a horrific name for the phenomenon and not very intuitive for simpletons.

Hmm, I'm feeling better already.

I'm glad to know we're not alone- fruit trees in Michigan are probably going to lose their fruit, as the blossoms can't take 10 degrees. Luckily(?), we live in the UP where the blossoms haven't even come out yet, so we may be ok here with our apple trees and other fruits. But the peach, apple, cherry crops that are in lower Michigan are likely to be a loss this year.

It's supposed to be 9 degrees tonight. And more snow on the way.......... I hate it.

I dunno why everyone is so grumpy... The only reason a dusting of snow on April 4th has everyone putting on their pissypants is that we had such a mild winter.

It's early April in New England and people are acting like a dusting of snow is a shock to the system. Where ya been the last several decades??

Next fall everyone is going to go with... "Ohhhhh my Godddddd!! The leeeeeaves are changing colors!!!"

Move to Florida ya wusses.

I want to work on my plants, put my goldfish back in their pond (if it ever thaws) and actually go outside without my nose freezing. I want to think about putting my dock in the lake, if it ever thaws.

I'm a wuss. And I'm a grumpy wuss. But at least I'm not stuck in New England.

Between beaches we stopped into a 400 year old rum distillery for a tasting. Shown is the original copper still, the better part of the building, and our host.

Picked up a couple of fifths of 10 year barrel aged light. Wonderful stuff, sipping quality...

I've been back in the winter for almost two whole weeks and my tan is fading as is my "sunny" mood. So I feel quite at home with bitching about the weather.

I haven't even had a bit outside in a beer garden since March 20, so I'm sure you understand my surly attitude. I haven't worn flip flops since March 22.
