Heard rumors of this last week. Was really hoping they weren't true. Bummer.

I'm not local to Crooked Stave but I hear they do their best to serve the local market. An example is that their tap list is insane! I'm very jealous of you locals that get to try beers we'll never get to in Cellar Reserve. When CS complained about storage issues last year during renewals, I didn't think the issue was so severe that it inhibited their ability to brew beer. I just thought "our shed is full, come get your ****" was more what they were saying.

I am not a financial expert but I imagine if every ****** upstart in 2014 can have a reserve society, CR should have been able to figure it out. How banks won't allow Crooked Stave to collect hundreds of thousands of dollars in orders a year is beyond stupid. I thought this was a capitalist nation?

I guess I'll have to trade for Crooked Stave beers now which really sucks and honestly, I probably won't bother. 400 members, 4 bottles of each release per member = 1600 bottles of each unique beer...maybe 2,000. That many going to Denver stores = wow. That mean going out to Shelton for distribution = not so wow. Driving 2 hours down to Mass to find a Surette Reserva limit 1 on the shelf isn't going to be worth it. Plus, the $12.75 we pay now per bottle will be $15-20 once you factor in shipping and retail markup out here in New England.

I applaud the team @ Crooked Stave for making a swift decision and choosing to cancel the program that was causing so much strain and stress on them. I for one will greatly miss the opportunity to drink their beer regularly. They are making top-tier american wild ales and it's been an honor to be a part of their humble beginnings. Also thanks to Steve_0 my trustee for always looking out and being patient with me.

If they ever start up the program again, I only ask Chad & Co. to please reach out to us first so we have a chance to join the program First right of refusal and all, I'd really appreciate that.

Also, I'm now kicking myself for not joining 2015 De Garde Society....I really thought my $350 would go to CR instead. Oh well.

******* accountants and prepaid income liabilities.

This is a real kick in the junk. I just hope they move beer releases to Saturdays instead of Tuesdays. I will sorely miss being able to secure bottles in advance.

Now we are going to have to become regular trading partners you know....

I'm telling your mom if not. ;)

As an ontario resident member this really sucks seeing as this was my only access to good sourrzzzzzz

But damn it makes if the bank was holding back 200k until they released all beers. How about some prorata going here

not sure how that works but if that money is being held wouldn't you be gaurateed to borrow against (if you needed it) since it's technically collected and in the bank...

This just means that more people will have access to the beers.
I like this. I don't have the cash to throw down for all these reserve memberships.
However, I love being able to go down to a release and grab bottles of stuff I'm stoked about!

More CS beer for CO people!

if you didn't have money for the Reserve beers but you think you'll have money for 30$ 750mls? ;)
