Last one for me tonight (I hope)...such an important record in my collection for so many reasons.

Godspeed You!.... I'm not spelling the title out. I bought this a long time ago because the cute girl at the record store was all excited about it. Listening to it now it sounds like a homeless orchestra playing to the end of times. Lots of cool inserts including a flattened Canadian coin.

Super funky saison. Like aged Saison Brett and baby diaper.

Wife on business trip for almost a week + first day of school = making up for lost time in this thread. This is a beautifully packaged reissue of Italian Library music by Sandro Brugnolini under the alias Narassa.

Italian Library (or just Library music depending on the composer) is a wild and varying landscape--about as futile a description as 'rock' or 'jazz.' Some of my favorite library music can encompass rock, jazz, bossa, electronic--you name it, but I usually prefer instrumental. Some times it sucks, sometimes its awesome. This is a pretty good set, but I wouldn't say its my favorite. here are a few cuts:

bootleg of the Donkey Kong Country soundtrack...instantaneously feel 10 years old every time I hear this

Sun Ra Disco 3000...instantaneously feel weird every time I hear this

Library music, DK soundtrack, and Sun Ra in two posts? I like you. This is sampled from DK Country 2, one of my favorite flips...

Oh damn--DKC2 is my all time favorite game period. Gotta be my favorite video game soundtrack too. I actually blew up dudes inbox who put out the DKC boot pleading for a DKC2 release...

Awesome flip. Web woods/stickerbush symphony is a classic. I like getting weird in this thread :)

Double post of fan boy magnitudes. Both acts fall in my top 5 fav discoveries within the past 3 or 4 years that are also current (which is cool cause I listen to more and more weird obscure 70s **** every year which only serves to isolate me more laughingsademoji)

Top pic is White Fence Family Perfume Vol 1&2. Bottom is Sic Alps s/t. Both can be traced back to an extreme Oh Sees fan boy journey. They are also both really great lo fi psych pop with whiffs of various 60s song styles ala Beatles/Kink/Barrett worship. Mike Donovan (main dude from Sic Alps) released my favorite lp of the year so far under the name Peacers (with a band that includes former Oh Sees drummer Mike Shoun and Shayde Sartin who played on a few Skygreen Leopard albums). Can't recommend any of these bands enough.

Beer is closing in on a year... Shorts Batch 5000 triple IPA. Mothers don't raise your children to grow up and cellar IPAs

Lots to digest here...but I've been digging peacers a good bit since I heard jurgens layout earlier this year. So cheers there. Will be looking into the others for sure.

It's real tossed off (which can be a huge turn off for a lot of people) but it's in that super nice dayglo baked sorta way. Really divergent on the styles, but overall pretty mellow and ambling. Give it a shot but will understand if it doesn't work completely for you.

anyone ever heard of the 'super group' United Nations? store sticker says members of Thursday/Glassjaw/Converge/Thrice. I'm IN. altho I was trying to find out which member of Thrice was involved and I find no record. of course, they've kept all the members somewhat secret. apparently you're not allowed to use 'United Nations' haha. anyone have a line on any Thrice members involved, I'm just curious. lord, this beer is gross.
