I keep meaning to check this band out. I'm assuming this is a good starting point?

You know, more often than not im just kinda annoyed by Burning Spirits HC actually... or at least annoyed by its fan base enough that it diminishes my enjoyment which is probably unfair and I guess they are just a victim of their own success but you know its like that "DOOD paintbox was the BEST jap hc band theres no contest" kinda loudmouth dipshit.

But I guess its pretty telling when I get wasted I can let go of some of that baggage and just celebrate what a powerful guitar player Chelsea was at full volume. This album and the "Cry of the Sheeps" EP are my go to ones though, don't break out much else. Its a bit more singsong pop punk than Deathside, sometimes embarrassingly so.... but band is good...

coldstorage , what does that 1200 track at? Counter weight set to 0 grams and the added weight right on the headshell? Always been curious of your setup! Love those Shure carts.

Yeah I zero it out for the headshell and then back into a tracking weight. That M-44 wants 1.5g-3g, I try to keep it at a hair or two under 1.5g... and soemtimes get anxiety and back it off further but then itll skate and I set it forward. I mean, im not scratching on it obviously so I figure I can undercut a little to add years to my LPs. I saved up and bought this thing for myself back in 2000 and... at the time from asking around and not having any online resources the consensus seemed to be there was no mid range turntable really for home stereo.. that you were stuck with a $3 used goodwill rig or a 1,000 hi fi. The compromise was a $400 1200 that you could get guitar center to throw in the headshell and cartridge for... and it has served me well all things considered but its still probably time to grow up and step to a REGA or VPI I guess.

*(Also, if you love the shure carts and are running any... better stock up now)

Calling all the haters...

This is a phenomenal album. Don’t care that it was crammed down your throat. In fact, if that’s your response to the opinion that this album is great, then you need to re-evaluate:

a) your listening habits
b) your music quality evaluation qualifications

Deal with it...great great album and a true talent.
