Has anyone visited the new location yet? The website says they open at 11, but the parking lot opens at 10. I am assuming this means people show up at 10, fill the lot, and buy up all the Heady Topper in a very short period of time. Is this accurate? Any recommendations?

I have not been yet (going in september) but from what I understand from friends, one case limit (2 4 packs of heady, 2 4 packs of focal banger, and 2 4 packs of whats on special) per person per day. No exceptions.

Just came back a little over a week ago. They seem to have a larger supply now. Bigger brewery and they do not seem to distribute as much to the beer stores. I walked in at about 2:30 on a Tuesday and got my share

getting there early is always recommended.

From following the threads on BA it seems they are selling out daily. parking lot opens at 10 AM maybe a few minutes earlier so can't really show up any earlier than that. Line starts moving at around 10:45. If you are first in line takes 30 to an hour to get your mixed case. Special (crusher right now) is sold out by 1 PM Heady is gone by 2 and Focal is there until the end of the day most days. Heady is still being brewed at the old facility so Focal and the specialty stuff is being made at the new one. haven't been there just been reading because plan to make a vacation their soon.

I got there at 11:30 and waited in line for an hour, but I got what I wanted :)

I know this is super late, but I was there the weekend after New Years Eve. It was empty. There was no limit to anything. I was able to buy as much of whatever I wanted.

I've been a few times recently, each time getting there a little after opening. No line, lot wasn't close to full. Don't sweat it, they did a great job with the new place and you should get beer if you show up.

Honestly, save your time/hassle and go to Hill Farmstead Brewery instead.

Shaun Hills beers imho are way better than what you get at the Alchemist and with less hassle to get it.

After going to HFS, I stopped even bothering trying to find/wait in line for any of the Alchemist brews.

If its a brewery visit/never had it but have to have it thing with the Alchemist, good luck with the trip!

I'd argue that the hassle at HFS is higher. Lately with the Alchemist you simply show up, and buy beer. I've not seen a large line lately at all.

HFS does have a larger variety of beer available, but you have to drive way out into the middle of nowhere to get there. Then figure out what they're offering for on site only, vs growlers, vs bottles (which are sold in different buildings). Yes HFS makes some damn good beer, but it's not like the stuff from the alchemist is suddenly garbage.

Its a beautiful facility with an incredible smack you in the face aroma of hops when you walk in. The hype has died down, no issues getting what you want 90% of the time.
