One of the benefits of upgrading from 6 gallon glass carboys to a 7.9 gallon Speidel is that even the most insane out-of-control fermentations never get into the airlock (assuming the standard 5 gallon batch size, that is).
 
looks like your other carboy has a tube.. What temperature are you fermenting at?
