Took SWMBO out to dinner for her birthday tonight and this was the menu. Good thing they had premium beers like Corona!

Actually, they had Mac & Jack on tap, so all was not lost. Just had a good chuckle when I ran across that.

A new bar opened up in my neighborhood (which is a touristy area) and they had on their chalkboard "Indian pale ale".

Had some fun with that with the owner when we stopped in for a beer.

I was out to eat one time and saw Shiner listed as an import

In Texas.

Yeah...I didn't get it either.

Fat Tire is on there, I enjoy that one. They give a really good brewery tour. If you're ever in Ft. Collins, CO you should check it out. Souvenir 12 oz glass and you get to fill it with every beer they make at the end of the tour. Wish we could get New Belgium beers in CT.

I was at a place the other day that had great beers on tap and bottled. Excellent selection from all over the U.S. Got one from the bar then sat down. For the next one, I asked the waitress what they had on tap (no menu), and she just said, "we have a pale ale, oatmeal stout, a lager, a wheat beer, and a few others." She didn't know the names of them. Slightly annoying when waitresses don't know what they're selling.

One of the local liquor stores near me, Lukas Liquors, that has a sign for their 'indian pale ale' offerings on their shelf.

Everytime I go in there I want to bring a sharpie with me....

IDK about the LS location, I'll have to go next time I'm in town. But the St. Louis location is just excellent... and it says India Pale Ale.

I think I can one up you.

****in' Old Chicago, I get so annoyed when they do stupid crap like that. Kinda like how they had Blue Moon on their craft beer tour.

Every time this stuff happens, I almost feel compelled to accost the manager. There was this pretty decent BBQ place near me that I went to fairly regularly. They had really great deals on their domestic beers during happy hours, which Odells 5 Barrel wasn't considered part of. I mentioned this to every waitress I ever had there, and they would just shrug at me every single time. I quit going back. Their beer selection was terrible anyway, all they had that was decent was the 5 barrel.
