So I am just about to put my lager into my first keg. Question, which I already heard much debate about, but I am curious to know what you think.

Does it make any difference to the beer if I condition it in the keg at room temperature, even though it has been lagering at 40 degrees?

If it does make a difference, should I then condition it at 40 degrees? And for how long, that is directed towards both questions.

Thank you!

Do you mean naturally carbonate? It will take a LONG TIME to chew up the priming sugar at 40°F. 50 for a week or two is more like it. I'd keg-condition before lagering so the beer will be clearer.

I almost always just force carb during lagering. Set it and forget it.
