I generally pitch at 72F and move to a cooler area in the basement 62-65F

Just curious what is the lowest temp anyone has pitched Notty and had fermentation take off?

Nottingham loves the cold, I've cooled it to 57 and held it there, ferments out just fine.

I used Nottingham for the first time last year. Consistent 58-60 degree ambient temperatures. Cider actively fermented for three months and never stalled--just took forever!

Notty is good down to the mid 50s, ferments out ales nice and clean at that temperature without too much lag. You can get almost lager-like clean ferments at those temperatures.

Notty IS slower in ciders, at any temperature. Plan on at least a month ferment for a cider if using Notty, more if you are piling in a lot of sugar.
