Taprite Permanent O-ring to CO2 Tank with LeakStopper Oring

I have a brand new taprite primary reg that has a permanent o-ring, so no nylon washers for me. But, the CO2 tank I swap out also has a permanent o-ring screwed into the male fitting of the tank. So, I would have two rubber o-rings touching to create a seal, doesn't seem the best. Anyone have experience with this? Should I just take the ring off the tank?
