It's like I WANT to try it, but really don't NEED to try it....

LOL - that's not helping!

Seriously, though - I think I might give it ago. I may even move it up on the list in order to have it ready in time for Christmas...

IF no one talks me out of it! :tank:

I was going to say that I would also buy it if you do, until I saw the $13 shipping.....

Shipping is usually not a concern, because I would get one for me, and then my son would have me buy one...and then I would get some other mix for my dad for Christmas (he really likes Bruxelles Blonde and Chestnut Brown Ale), so shipping would be free.

But yeah, if it weren't for the "free shipping with purchase of 45$ or more," I would have talked myself out of it by now."

Why don't you just eat some peppermint candy while drinking a porter first? That would be a good way to get an idea of whether or not you really want a whole batch on hand?

Well that would take all the fun out of it! :tank:

Normally, the BBS recipes are pretty well-balanced when it comes to things like this. I've tried their Chocolate Maple Porter, and the dark malts really did give a chocolate ambience. I expect the same would be the case with this, and that the peppermint would be subtle enough to be present without being over-powering.

You guys are doing a terrible job of talking me out of this - PayDay is Friday!

Paid the bills, bought gas for the car...and not much left!

I will try to get it though - the sooner the better, so that it can be ready for Christmas. :mug:

Local brewery made a mint chocolate stout. As much as I wanted to turn my nose up at it, it was pretty damn good.

life's too short to stick to "normal" boring things forever.
