I'm going to be brewing a hybrid ale that calls for 1,5 lbs rice syrup. In my area it's a bit hard to find this (don't ask
), so I've read on then intertubes that using table sugar is viable substitution. My question is: Is the conversion rate 1-to-1? i.e., can I just use 1.5 lbs table sugar instead? I'm a bit curious since the rice syrup is a liquid, so I'm not sure if the conversion is that straight forward...
