So taking my keggle system for it's maiden voyage i found that my PID continues to heat once it has reached the set point, albeit slower then when it is under the set point. i have not played enough to see how far above it will go, but it went at least 10 degrees above (F). I'm uisng a K type thermocouple (Sn is at 0) .

Yes, it is heating mode and not cooling (COOL is set to 10). yes it is in auto not manual. the temperature readout seems to be right. i am at a loss for why it keeps heating. any ideas?

Have you run the Auto Tune yet? It will heat up, cool down, heat up, cool down.....it's learns your system. After that it should be fine.

7. Auto-tune
You can use the auto-tune function to determine the PID constants
automatically.
There are two ways to start auto-tuning:
1) Set At=2. It will start automatically after 10seconds.
2) Set At=1. Thenduring the normal operation, press the A/M key to start the
auto-tune.
The instrument will perform accurate artificial intelligence control after auto
tuning is finished.

yeah, reading a bit more i think that may be my problem. i thought i let it run the auto tuning, but i didn't let it go long, so i probably cut it off/f'd it up...
