Sounds like it is under attenuated....I assume you are brewing with extract? After going to AG all extract beers taste a little sweet to me.

meh solid extract brewing practices will make the switch to AG more likely a success rather than a catch all for problems that will never be taken care of because of the variables involved

I have made good and tasted great extract brews no sweetness if done correctly.

OP listen to Gila though slightly caustic he is wise
a hydrometer is your friend in all phases of brewing. if you took a OG and FG reading post it along with the recipe and type of beer. also post your fermentation times how long its been in the bottle etc. anything that you can think of to make the diagnosis easier and more compelete

Was it sweet before you bottled? Is it carbed now? Remember you just added a bunch of sugar when you bottled it, which needs to ferment away to produce the carbonation.

Its only sweet after bottling and i let it ferment for 2 to 2and a half weeks and after bottling its sits in the d
ark for 3 weeks

What kind of beer are you talking about here? While 5.5 weeks from kettle to drinking may work for some wheat beers and IPAs, if you are taking about a high gravity beer this isn't nearly enough time.

How much hops did you add to the beer? How much priming sugar did you use during bottling?
