What if you pack your box, then put a garbage bag(empty) in the box last. Spray the great stuff into the bag, and it forms to fill the voids while being contained in the plastic bag?

If you use great stuff put each beer in its own bag or you'll never get it off the bottles and labels. People have used to to ship to homebrew competitions and its rough.

OH YEAH! A must! That crap sticks to everything, including fingers. I used it to line the sides not between the bottles.

That's what I'm thinking. Line the box with a garbage bag, put each bottle in its own ziplock and then basically imbed them into a block of spray foam.

Commercial shippers do this but use a different foam. I tried to do this to make a carbon fiber mould. Didn't work, just puddled. I think great stuff needs oxygen to set correctly.

Very possible it needs oxygen. I get auto parts packaged as you mention, and yea I'm sure its different foam. That's what inspired the idea.

With proper packing techniques, newspaper and bubble wrap should be all you need. One problem with great stuff is when it sets, it gets pretty hard. You want your packing to have a little give to it. Pressing a glass bottle against something hard isn't good. I just dont think the great stuff will make a good enough cushion. If you could somehow make a mold with it, like those styrofoam bottle shippers, that would probably work better.

That stuff is called Instapak and it is very cool and holds up to abuse well.

One awesome haul.

I actually accidentally drank one of the two Buffalo Sweats. It was delicious. Thanks again Jeepguy.

I hope my package comes next week. I'm getting two from swaps next week. 3 in the same week would be pretty awesome.

That's awesome.

Ha! Accidentally...

Mmmm tank 7. I enjoyed my tank 7 greatly. I'm out of state right now and I found a shop that carries them and picked up some more. THAT is a trade victory.

Glad you liked it. I have a keg of it every so often.

Tall Grass is alright. Free State is putting out some pretty solid beer though.

free state has been around a lot longer and tallgrass in the top selling craft brewery in ks, that speaks for itself. not saying free state is bad but i believe tallgrass makes better product, their new beer Wild PLum i didnt think lived up to a solid farmhouse ale, pretty bland

Uh o... ku vs k.state again :D

haha no this is really just a brewery debate, no athletics involved here. I even said i enjoyed free state, which youd never hear me say about ku. Im just stating that the facts (and my opinion) point to tallgrass producing better beer, sorry to derail the thread tho, cant wait to see more packages drop :D

Someone in California should be getting a box tomorrow!

And I finally get to open mine on Saturday! Got to drink some good beers from South Dakota and Montana on this road trip though. Next stop, Seattle.

Got a package from TheMan! Looks like we traded this time! Super excited to break into these brews, putting a couple in an ice bath right now! THANKS!!!!

I have photo confirmation of a delivery from SWMBO. I literally have never had a single one of these but someone certainly knows that I'm a fan of hops. 5 o'clock can't get here fast enough.

Yeah, searched a few posts to sort what you mostly drank. And happened to see a random picture/comment about Skyline chili. I grew up in Cincinnati and always stock up on a few cans when I'm there. Threw one in for you to have, goes great with IPAs. Cheers

Thank you. This is an awesome haul. These are all brews that I would probably never have a chance to try otherwise.
