Just a site suggestion, would a separate section for brewers who only use kits be useful? I know it's generally covered in the beginners section but I feel it would be useful. I font have the space or time to go to partial or all grain but do at times meds about with extract kits. Advice on kits, extra ingredients and reviews would be useful for a lot of people who are either new to brewing out like me cannot upscale to more advanced techniques.

Yes it covers it but still has a lit of partial stuff, most kits don't need to be boiled so I an really reefing too simplicity itself in mixing and using kits at their most basic. I've done over 30 kit brews plus some wine kits and gotten some really fine beers by being patient. So much so that I dread having to drink anything else when I run out out go elsewhere

What kits are you talking about? Coopers/Mr. Beer etc? Many kits include steeping grains so those topics are included. I'm not knocking the no boil kits, that's how I started, but an entire page dedicated to that...

The search function and the extract forum in general would be good places to start. I don't think a sub forum just for kits would be much used or really offer much that you can't already find.

LOL - I never knew there were kits that didn't require boiling. Are they basically just cans of concentrated finished WORT that you add water and yeast to and let them go?

I know hopped malt extract doesn't need to boil. You bring the water to a boil to sanitize it and then add the extract and cool and add to the fermenter.

Yes slip gate,
Canned and pre hopped extract, add boiled water to dissolve with malt extract or sugar, add hoops etc if desired, mix, add water and ferment. It's simple, makes good beer and got me into brewing
