A week ago I brewed a Midwestsupply Liberty Cream Ale extract kit. I put 3 1/2 gallons into a 5 gallon carboy and 1 1/2 gallons into a Mr Beer LBK. I would like to make an addition to the LBK without moving it to a secondary. Also it would have to be something I could get at the grocery store. What would you do?

Thanks
Harry

First, what sort of things do you want to put in there?

A big reason you usually want to rack to secondary when making additions is to minimize oxidation but it doesn't sound like you have a secondary anyway.

My suggestion would be to leave it alone and drink it how it was brewed.

The carboy is what I would normally use as a secondary. Both of my Ale pail primaries are occupied. I just thought it would be nice to make an addition to the LBK to compare to the base recipe in the carboy.
