Hello everyone,
I had a miscalculation while making a simple sugar wash and was wondering if anyone could help me out.
This is my first time just using sugar, water and yeast and the recipe I used was actually for 2 gallons of water and I put in 4. Now the amount of sugar is still correct but since I already added my yeast I can't just pour out two gallons of water because I will loose half my yeast. Could I simply split the water into two batches and add sugar to the new batch? Or will I have to scrap the whole thing? Also could I just leave it as is and it will ferment? It has been 2 days with no bubbling so that's why I double checked the recipe and realized that I doubled the water.
If you have any advice is really appreciate it. Like I said its my first time making "At-home" vodka

Water, sugar and yeast will not yield anything palatable for you, unfortunately. It won't be vodka, it will be hootch whose only purpose is to get you drunk. There are lots of easy recipes to make good tasting beverages, in addition to beer, here on HBT and I encourage you to spend some time here looking around and find something that looks good to you and try it.
