I have some cider that is ready to be bottled. Can I use cane sugar to get the carbonation going in the bottle? How much per bottle? I'm going to try to mix it with some water and boil it like when bottling my beers but not sure on quantities per gallon of cider.

Couldn't find any corn sugar except at the brew store and I can't get there this weekend.

Any thoughts? :D

You've got cider, cane sugar adds a cidery flavor. IMHO not a problem. I'd use 1-1.5 oz per gallon, this will give you a little carbonation without becoming fizzy.

Thx for the advice. I'm bottling later today. I guess I have to wait about 6 months before I know the results. It's hard to wait 2-3 weeks with beer. This is going to kill me!!! :(
