Flying sparging an Arrogant Bastard clone atm.
Sparge started great with a gentle trickle into the bk. about 20 minutes into it I find I have to open the ball valve to keep a trickle. Is this ok? And if it stops, what do I do? I have about 4 gallons to get into the bk. Any advice?

Im not the most qualified, but heres how I get mine to go.

1 keep the temp up to keep the mash from gelatinizing
2 when you open the valve, do it slowly
3 when it starts to get stuck I close the valve, check my temps (I try to stay around 170-175), corect it, then stir up the grains up against my manifold. re-vorlouf, drain into kettle

hope this helps

This never happened before, thanks for the advice. I just closed the valve gave it a stir and recirculated again. Problem solved. OG came out to be 1.080 :)
