Strong dark kit recommendations

Hello to all...new to the home brewing game....and was hoping to get some opinions on "beer kits".....I have a brand new Brewers Best kit with all the bells and whistles.....

My personal preference is for stronger darker beers the kind that I call "German Monastery" beers...smokey, thicker , grainy, grittier....

I will most likely be using one of the Brewers Best brew kits for my 1st attempt and was hoping to hear from the forum with regards to a kit that might get me close to what I like in a beer

Heading over to "JUST BREW IT" tomorrow to pick me up a kit...just looking for ideas !!!!!!!!!!

You'll likely have to do some searching to find a kit with smoked malts. Maybe a Scottish wee heavy or something like that?

scrolling through the BB site, you don't have many options to pick from for a dark German beer.
