Does anybody have a real good recipe for Stroh's Bock Beer? I've been looking and can't find a good one. I live in Michigan and I Love that beer ever since I was 18 back in 1978 before they put the age back up to 21:mad:.

Back in the day, as I heard it, the Strohs Bock was a seasonal release around Oktoberfest time, and was the dregs from the bottom of the vat or tank. That was the rumor around Chicago anyways. I still have some bottles from the '80's in the garage. I saved them and stupidly forgot about them. Kind've askeerd to open them now. But, man o man, that stuff sure was good! The closest I could find taste-wise was at Busch Gardens when A/B started producing the Michelob Amber Bock and served the free samples there. That fresh brew was really nice and I got back in the taste line more than once! Strohs Bock - RIP ;-( p.s. - I miss Red Wolf too...

“The stuff they scrape from the bottom of the barrel” was what the people who didn’t know crap about beer used to say. And it couldn’t be further from the truth.
