I took pics and will post them later today. I'm excited for this stuff.

9-10lbs Gourmet Sonoran Desert Honey
4lbs Fresh Strawberries Diced and Sanitized
3 Gallons Distilled Water
Yeast Nutrient, Energizer, and Pectic Enzyme to Volume
Wyeast Sweat Mead Yeast
2 Lbs Banana for Racking

Gonna let it ferment for a month or two and rack it onto the bananas. I'll keep everyone updated. Final volume is 3.4 gallons SG=1.104

My Prediction.
90% Chance this will be good!
8% Chance this will be Orgasmic.
1% Chance this will be bad.
1% Chance this will turn into a Banana Split and be served in a Sonic Commercial.

I'm curious too.

I'm also curious about the distilled water, I thought that was generally a no no when it came to mead, wine, and beer???

I'm guessing this was a take-off on Curt and Kathy Stock's Strawbana Cabana Mead, which got a lot of attention. They won a number of medals with it, including a gold at the 2004 National Homebrew Competition. It was also the official AHA recipe for the 2006 Mead Day.

A friend of mine made it and it was delicious!

Regarding Brandon O's recipe: Like dummkauf said, I think distilled water is a bad idea. Also, 4 lbs strawberries in a 3.4 gallon batch doesn't seem like much. Curt and Kathy use 18 lbs in 5 gallons.
