I have Brewed about 12 extract kits so far and I have never strained the wort. I just dump everything from the pot into my bucket, pour several times between two buckets for aeration , funnel into carboy and add yeast. Should I be straining the wort? Pro/Cons? Thanks!

I never strain the wort and I get clear beer. An experiment done by Brulosophy seems to show that leaving everything tends to get one clearer beer.

I haven't strained the wort in many years. Besides my experience and the evidence (Brulosophy exbeeriment and others) that it isn't needed, I try to avoid any unnecessary items contacting the beer or wort - but I'm highly paranoid about contamination.
