I'm going to try brewing my second batch this week but it's at a different house. Im not sure if the stove has enough power output to bring 20 qts to a rolling boil. My question is, for a six gallon batch, what is the minimum I can boil with to still get a decent batch?
I'm going to steep 2 lbs of specialty grains in a few quarts then add to my kettle. Then I'll add about 7 lbs of LME. I don't want to get to brew day and find out the stove can't bring 4 gallons to a rolling boil. I'm going to try boiling 4 gallons prior to brew day to check.
Thanks
