When I bought my stout mash tun I skipped their sparge device.

I read that the flow required to make it work was to much flow to fly sparge.

So I went with locline and batch sparged for the past 7 years.

I see they have a Vorlauf tube now.

Anyone with a Stout mash tun, what are you using???

What's wrong with using the locline?

Where did you get the floats?
@cfrazier77 - likely eBay… search for: Magnetic Float Switch Stainless Steel Float Ball 75mmx75mm

fwiw, I do enjoy the manifold w/ floats — it is a pia to clean out, and requires care when using to reduce the amount of grain material getting stuck in the arms. When used right, it is great.

I actually have locline with a flared end that I bought from your site.
I get good flow and RIMS works perfect. But the flow is not dispursed and channels into the grain bed.

Maybe I just need to try the locline sparge ring??
