Room temp should be fine. How do you think it is stored at the shops? For extended storage, a freezer might be a better option. I have had my last bag of lme in the freezer for 10 years, really. I won't be adding it to any of my brews but do use it for starters.
Sorry to dig up the old thread, but is there any consensus? Fridge/freezer/room temp? I bought 3 kits, all have LME, and won't be making some of them for a month or 2... Freezer? Planning one this weekend, then spaced about a month each.
