Was i suppose to stir the wort after dumping the hydrated yeast in or dry yeast for that matter ? Or will it just work it was into the wort ?

It'll work fine on its own. But generally, after pitching the yeast, you should agitate the wort to oxygenate it. Some people use a stir stick attached to a power drill but generally I just shake the carboy / bucket for a minute or so.

Stirring, whisking, shaking etc. will also mix and aerate the wort while distributing the yeast. Re-hydrating dry yeast is a very good practice. Follow the instructions and time frame to a T, and more cells make it alive to your wort, ready to work.

well thats good because i didn't stir it and that was almost a week ago.
still having some intermittent airlock activity.

I've always stirred my yeast (dry or liquid). I don't see a reason not to.

I roughly mix the wort & top off water before pitching. And since I pour the chilled wort through a fine mesh strainer,it gets aerated then too. Pitching before all that agitation can splash some yeast up the sides & inside the lid, etc. I don't like wasting a bunch of yeast cells pitching then mixing/aerating. And since I rehydrate or use starters, the act of pouring it in will mix it from the stream of rehydrate/starter going into the wort.

As long as you don't pour it all in one spot such that it's a dry clump and only the exterior gets wetted it doesn't matter. You might slow their progress slightly by not stirring but nothing significant.

So much the better rehydrated. You loose less cells pitching dry & the stream of now liquid yeast mixes well when poured in.

Careful pouring? Careful stirring? You need to aerate the wort anyway, so shake it up well, yeast and all. The yeast likes the ride, ask them, they're much happier.

No need to stir. Rehydrate properly, add to aerated wort, seal fermenter, and walk away. It doesn't hurt to mix it around, but it doesn't do anything to help, either. Diffusion will take care of it for you naturally. Then once fermentation gets going, the wort is constantly getting stirred.

I aerate before and after pitching.

Still, the biggest improvement to my brewing was buying a mini-chalkboard. I sit my yeast down before pitching and show them a "gameplan" for the fermentation. Often diagramming which areas of the carboy they should attack first, where to settle out, etc. Coach them up, they will listen

Inspirational speeches also help but are not necessary to a good fermentation

I find Henry IV "St Crispin's Day" speech works great

the magical little beasties seem to get inspired by "we happy few, we band of brothers"

and I use a drill-powered paint mixer before and after pitching
