I used a pound, not a half pound for this IPA I'm making with 7lbs of light DME and Amarillo. I added half the runnings by weight to the kettle and my boil is going now. What's the best way to save the other half? Boil it to kill any nasties and then refrigerate? Do I HAVE to can it? I will probably use it in a month. Will it even keep?

Thanks!!!

probably not worth saving. 1/2 lb of crystal is going to give barely any sugars

I know, hardly worth saving $.75 worth of runnings, but that other half is for another recipe I have ingredients for and I don't know that I would make it back up to my LHBS before brewing it.

So I froze it. If I make it up there before the next batch, I will get some new grain and dump this.
