I put one together and Its wired according to the DIYs on these boards. What I cant figure out is how to test it out. The paperwork has "vanished".
Can someone walk me through this? It only lights up the cool light? No matter which side of the outlet my heater is plugged into?

Thx, :mug:

It will only light up the "cool" light (and power the "cool" circuit) if it needs to bring the temperature down! It doesn't know or care what you have plugged into the outlet.

If the light lights up, it tells you the controller is working but it says nothing about your wiring! I'd plug a lamp (or any small appliance) into the cool side and another one into the heat side. Verify that the "cool" appliance is coming on right now, then dunk the probe into some ice water. Once the temperature gets below your setpoint (minus the differential) the heat appliance should come on.

If the "cool" light is flashing, that's the compressor delay. So wait until you hit that before you worry :mug:
