Starter with malt extract and dextrose

I am planning on brewing tomorrow, so I'm going to make a starter today.

The thing is, I don't have enough malt extract and was wondering if I could use what I have and then add a little bit of sugar to raise the OG to 1.035 or so.

I know the topic of using only dextrose has been covered quite a bit and is not recommended, but what about a mix of the both?

Also I plan on throwing in a yeast fuel tablet.

Any thoughts?

Guess it depends on the ratio. If 75% was DME, I'd say go for it. Anymore than that, I would just make a smaller starter and hope for the best.
