hello all ,
i am making a scratter for making cider and i was just wondering if it wood make any difference or not if i used zinc plated screws when making the scratter rather than stainless screws if there was none available. would it have any affect on the juice at all for making the cider.

please could any shad any light on this regards Shane

The cider forum is down much further :)

I'd go with stainless to answer your question

You should be able to find stainless somewhere and that is what I would recommend. Brass would be ok at that acidity and length of time, but SS would be best.

Hi

regards Shane
