Want to build a mead (will be my first) and I'm doodling up in Bsmith. Was adding a few different Honeys in there and now I'm trying to find the SRM of the different kinds.

Anyone have a nice sheet with the SRM of different types of honey?

this is an interesting question, and have wondered the same thing. I generally just "eyeball" it, using clover honey as a benchmark starting point -- the software I use (ProMash) has that varietal already in the database, and it lists the SRM as a ONE. I figure a really dark honey like buckwheat might give you a 10 at maximum (or perhaps it's darker...can anyone who's actually made a pure buckwheat batch at a usual rate of ~ 3 lbs per gallon care to weigh in?)

I usually set my local wildflower which is a medium to dark color at around 4
