Its my brewday today. And I'm lower on sanitizer than I thought. I have this spritzer I've kept reserved for today - it once has eco-friendly shower spray in it. I've washed it dozens of times inside, in boiling water, in washing up liquid, but it still has a [tiny] whiff of that clinical shower fluid.
I was going to use it today to spritz-sanitize my ferm and other things. Do you think it would be a little risk-ay to use this?

If you are still smelling the original solution, I would definitely not spray your fermenter with it. You'd probably be fine doing the spoons, thermometers, quick contact stuff, but even just a little wiff could turn very bad after sitting with the beer for 3 weeks.

You don't need that much sanitizer to do the fermenter anyways, Just pour what you have in there and shake the crap out of it, getting it all nice and foamy. That will take care of the fermenter. Then pour the liquid left into the spray bottle and go from there.

Again though, this is just if you are dead set on using the spritzer and can't get out to buy a new one. Any hint of another solution and I personally wouldn't risk it. I'd just run out and pick up a new spritzer bottle, if that's not an option, put the sanitizer in a bowl and let a paper towel sit in there, then you can use that to wipe down anything you need to sanitize.
