Just about to keg my first beer...

I split my CO2 line into two lines with a tee barb. My question is that if I am only hooking up one of the CO2 lines from the tee barb (until I get a second corny keg in there), how will I keep CO2 from leaking out of the other side of the tee barb?

I realize that I could just not hook up the barb until I get my second corny in there, but in the future when I've only got one beer ready to drink I will still have this issue.

Total newb question that deserves a total newb answer. Thanks :mug:

Attach a hose with a quick disconnect to the other barb.
This will allow you to use a single connection at this time and the other won't leak providing everything is tight.

Of course, that's why I bought 2 disconnects. I knew it was something that easy. Thanks

you also might want to consider a dual pressure regulator. I have heard that just using a "T" with no check valve can cause some fumes to enter into the other keg.

After 5 years of using my kegerator with a split tee to each keg, I finally installed a Y fitting into my regulator with seperate shutoff valves complete with internal check valves 2 weeks ago.
I feel much safer now.
