I am doing a spiced pumpkin porter this weekend. My question is regarding the spices and more specifically, the amounts. I am using cinnamon, ginger (fresh), all spice, cloves and nutmeg. I am looking for a fairly heavy spice profile, similar to Alaskan Brewing Company's Pumpkin Porter. What are your thoughts on amounts of each for a 5 gallon batch? Thanks guys.

I'm helping my buddy do a pumpkin porter as well Sunday. I'm going to go with Jamils spice schedule but up it slightly and do :
3/4 tsp cinnamon
3/8 tsp ginger
1/4 nutmeg
1/4 allspice

All at ~ 5min

My brother brewed a spice porter from a kit before and it was way overspiced. It was drinkable, but it wasn't very balanced and the spices were quite abrasive. Just a heads up.
