spent grain?

So, done my 3rd all grain. Loving it. I want to know what others do with their spent grain? There has to be nutritional value....seems like such a waste to throw it in the trash!

Do a search here on HBT...lots of creative ideas. Dog treats, homemade bread, compost, pig feed are a few that come to mind. I make dog treats and compost the rest.

Do a search and you will find lots of great uses for spent grains.

I've seen recipes for bread, soup and pizza dough. Right now I scatter them in the garden.

If you have dogs ....... dog treats.. My dogs love them.

They make great compost for the garden...

I find I only need to make a full batch of treats every 5 brews, and the rest just gets composted.

I usually throw mine in the woods behind my house. I've noticed and increase in fat squirrels hanging around since I've been doing that.
