spent grain doggy biscuits! made them finally and puppy loves them!

I have now made these three times and feel like we have it down pretty solid. Our maltipoo puppy loves them, and the dogs in the building wolf them down like nobody's business.

Healthy, simple, and puts some of the grain to use instead of throwing it out.

I'll have to try this one of these days. I also like to compost my spent grains, so nothing goes to waste.

Made treats yesterday with your recipe. They taste great, my wife caught me eating some and looked at me in disgust because I labeled them as "dog treats" even though she knew the ingredients. As I was giving some to the dogs my 2 year old wanted one too, so he and the dogs ate dog treats together. I'm sure the wife would have fell out if she saw it lol.

On a side note, my grain wasn't completely dried out before baking so it took a lot longer to get them dried out in the oven.

Some friends dogs are allergic to PB, so I have substituted apple sauce for PB.
My dog eats it either way.
Will have to try adding carrot.

My dog LOVES these. I randomly add stinky stuff like grated parmesan cheese. My daughter and I use silicone molds to form the bones, then bag and tag them and give them away. Loads more info in this old HBT thread:
