I've been trying to figure out what to do with all the spent grain from my mash. I dumped it in the backyard last time, but that wasn't a good idea as it attracts critters. I saw a post on another forum where a guy said he makes dog biscuits out of the spent grain. Does anybody here do this? If so what is your process of handling the grains and what are some good recipes? I've got a mash tun full of spent grain from 2 days ago, hopefully I can still salvage some for the pup.

I make spent grain dog treats all the time, the dogs love them. I Have a German Short Hair that looks just like yours! [IMG="http://s1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff517/jeepinfdny154/Dogs/"]

be cautious of anything left in the mash tun. if the grain starts to ferment before you use it to bake, it can sprout some dog-unfriendly nasties!
