Trying my first attempt at my favorite style, APA. I have some extract from from another kit that I want to use, but am unsure as to what specialty grain to throw in with this. I simply dont have enough experience to know what qualities the grains will give me. I have put the rest of my recipe below:

Name: Father's Day Pale Ale
Batch size: 5 gallons
Boil size: 6 gallons
TOG 1.050
Bitternes: 30-ish?

Malt: 3.15 lbs Gold LME
Malt: 3 lbs Golden Light DME
Specialty Grain: ?

Hops
boil 60 mins 0.66oz Magnum
boil 10 mins 0.5oz Citra
boil 10 mins 0.5oz Cascade
boil 0 mins 0.50oz Citra
boil 0 mins 0.50oz Cascade

Yeast
Wyeast 1056 (1L starter)

Thanks ahead of time for the help!

For an IPA or APA I generally just keep it simple and use some crystal 40 for the color, you don't need to go so fancy for those styles when it comes to specialty grains.
