I am currently looking for brewing salts such as calcium chloride. In the Philippines, the only one available is tech or industrial grade. Will that be suitable?
Hi jporacion - I don't really have much of an answer for you, more of a worthless opinion, because I don't use brewing salts, but I would think if you can check up on the tech/industrial salts that are available there. Ask the manufacturer/retailer if they are food-grade. I would think it would be OK to add them to your brew if they are certified as food-grade, but that's just me .... don't take my word for it, please! Hopefully someone will come along and give you a much more definitive answer - I'm trying to give you a bump so's they will hopefully notice your post!
