I just noticed something odd floating towards the top of my brew just below the foam top. I am doing a organic apple juice and honey brew, so could this be a the jelly stuff pectin from the fruit? if its not then im a little worried as i had some other stuff happen earlier with the brew.

I also used a pectic enzyme to help with the pectin

I posted a link to the previous discussion which is whats got me curious.

Have a couple ideas what that is but only a guess. Could be a couple pieces of yeast cake that came lose from the bottom, or some pectin as you suggestedbut i have never seen thatbhappen with pectin, or more likely could be a couple small pieces of apple from the juice.

I would just ride it out and when ready to rack leave it behind. If it tastes ok then it was not an issue. Sorry i couldnt be more help.
